So, for the next few days, we are having the ewes do some serious bush cutting! We need to pull apart the old chicken coop area, dismantle part of the old chicken house, and muck it out. It'll be a lot easier with all the tall grass, weeds, and small trees to be munched down and trimmed.
We've decided Duchess isn't that good at "cat yoga" on the deck. She tried a few moves, but then just wanted cuddles and scratches.
What's in season right now? Depends on what you planted, what's growing, and what's native. Right now it's mulberry, collards, and onion season! So, I will be whipping up a mulberry crumble and some collards and black-eyed peas!

Oh, the joy of summer pasture! I am practically on vacation! As of this last weekend, the ewes and lambs have been put out on summer pasture and locked out of the barn. They have two big shade trees and a shelter for when it rains.
